*Stark Trek Crew & NASA*
Gene Roddenberry, Leonard Nimoy, Deforrest Kelley, and most of the original cast were present to give the first space Shuttle, sweetly named "Enterprise" a send off. They smiled as Alexander Courage's Star Trek musical score blasted on nearby loudspeakers. The year was 1976.

Canadian Fireball!
Hello space enthusiasts, here's ACTUAL VIDEO of the recent Canadian meteorite, captured luckily by a police officer's dashboard cam! This was on APOD (Astronomy Picture of The Day) a few weeks back, around the time when the meteorite hit. Pretty fascinating video, thought I'd share it with everyone.

Among the many fragments being collected from the November 20th meteorite (which scientists think weighed about 10 tons), a head-sized chunk of the meteorite was found, weighing in at 28 pounds!

Space Beer
The Russian Academy of Science, a Japanese university, and beer maker Sapporo have all helped bring to earth "Space Barley," a beer made from barley grown on the International Space Station in 2006. The beer is not for sale (they only made 100 liters) but Sapporo is offering tasting to push the beer. Another good reason to visit Japan!
